Changes

I’m here alone now thinking of you as I lay
Longing for your return back to me one day
Remembering your kisses, caresses too
That now evade me, and I don’t know what to do

When we first met it seemed that we
Discovered a bond that would always be
Yet now I wonder is has this bond broken
You’re never here now, no words are spoken


I wonder now have you left me for another
It’s sad because for me there can be no other
I’ve loved you with every breath I’ve taken
Yet it seems to me now that I am forsaken

Mysterious phone calls, silence on the line
Letting me know these calls were not mine
Why darling why? Has our love expired?
Is it really true of me you have grown tired?

I’m here for you yet you push me away
I just don’t know what words to say
My love for you is so strong it can’t die
So all I seem to do is wait and cry

My feelings for you I just cannot hide
It truly brings to me a hurt inside
I long to hear your footsteps across the floor
So I’ll know you’ve returned back to me once more

With these feelings of loneliness I’m not complete
I lay awake at night and it’s hard to eat
Today or tomorrow don’t let me wait in vain
Say that you still love me; hold me in your arms again
